Keynote Sessions

Leadership Essentials
This interactive presentation will focus on Leadership Essentials. Leadership is often focused on the external – how well we are leading a company or organization. However, each of us is leading the most important person in our lives – ourselves. The question is: How well are you leading yourself? In this session we will talk about our vision, storytelling, building and maintaining relationships, taking action and practicing renewal.

Sarah Andreas, Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, author, speaker, leadership development expert and Toastmaster member.

Leadership in Action – Improve Team Member Performance
Most experts agree that coaching is the most effective way to improve team member performance. But what does it take to be an effective coach? For that matter, what’s the best way to coach? Come and learn the Dale Carnegie Approach to Effective Coaching so you can dramatically improve your ability as a coach and more easily achieve your organization’s performance goals. Taken from the personal notes of Mr. Dale Carnegie—the Pioneer of Talent Development—participants can expect to learn:

  • Why coaching is so effective
  • The key elements of coaching
  • The Cycle of Performance Change and why it is so critical to coaching
  • The Coaching Process steps
  • Other techniques

Fred Vornbrock, Certified Dale Carnegie® Trainer, General Manager Dale Carnegie Training

Toastmasters Leadership Training (TLI) is where Toastmasters from across the district come together to network, share ideas, and be inspired. It’s where newly elected club officers receive training about how to best serve their clubs. And it’s where any Toastmaster can expand skill sets as a communicator and a leader with additional educational sessions.

TLI is not only for the current club officers—it is for anyone who may be interested in becoming a club officer in the future or those club members who just want to learn more about our wonderful organization.

Are you traveling and want to get your training on the road? Remember that you can be trained anywhere in the world. One officer was trained in Oman when he went back home for the summer. Be sure to have the district email for your training credit – they must send your name, your club(s), your officer role(s).
