DISTRICT LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE
The DLC is responsible for ensuring the long-term success for District 13. This is accomplished by carefully screening potential candidates for leadership roles within our district.
The committee chair assembles the committee members, representing each division within the district. Together, the chair and the committee screen potential future officers for eligibility. Once the screening is complete, the DLC will announce their nominations. The current District Director appoints a committee chair to govern this process.

As the District Leadership Committee Chair, I will be accepting nominations for the Elected District Leader Roles. All nominations for Appointed Roles will be forwarded to the Incoming DD. Self-nominations are accepted and encouraged. The Call for Nominations document gives a brief overview of the District Leader Roles.

Prerequisites for District Leader Roles
The following are the pre-requisites for each District Leader role. This information is also listed on the Candidate Application.
** Roles Elected by 2022-2023 District Council **
District Director
AND 12 consecutive months in any one of the following: Program Quality Director, Club Growth Director, Division Director or Combination of Program Quality Director or Club Growth Director or Division Director positions
Program Quality Director
AND 12 consecutive months in any one of the following: Program Quality Director, Club Growth Director, Division Director, Area Director, Combination of Program Quality Director or Club Growth Director and Division Director positions
Club Growth Director
AND 12 consecutive months in any one of the following: Program Quality Director, Club Growth Director, Division Director, Area Director, Combination of Program Quality Director and Division Director positions
Division Director
Finance Manager

** District Council consists of District Executive Committee plus Club Presidents and VPEs

Candidates wishing to serve as a 2022-2023 District Leader should complete the following four forms, attach a headshot (min 800 x 800 DPI against a plain white background), and submit them to the DLC Chair (see link above).

Know Someone Who Would Be a Good Leader?
A candidate may also be nominated by another member by completing the District Leader Nomination form. Once a nomination form has been received, the DLC will request the member to submit the completed Candidate Application, District Leader Agreement, and District Leader Biography and a headshot.
